This Vertical Farming System offers a complete, high-automation solution for growing a wide variety of leafy greens, herbs, microgreens, soft fruits, young plants, and small crops. 1. Climate-Controlled Vertical Farming Cells (2 Units)

  • Growing Surface: 144 m² per cell (total 288 m² across two cells).
  • 6 Growing Layers: Each cell features six levels with automated input/output conveyors and first-in-first-out internal elevators.
  • LED Lighting: 180 LED lights per climate cell (Signify – Philips Horticulture Dynamic 4 channel production modules, 88W each) for optimized photosynthesis, providing up to 250 µmol light intensity.
  • Temperature & Humidity Control: Adjustable temperature range (15-26°C) and relative humidity (55-90%) for optimal growing conditions.
  • Capacity: Supports up to 120 benches/hour for internal transport and 200 containers/hour via logistic conveyors.
  • Irrigation System: Ebb/flood interval irrigation with one recipe per climate cell for precise pH and EC control.

2. Seeding Station

  • Drum Seeder: High-efficiency seeding module with two seeding drums capable of processing up to 500 trays per hour.
  • Conveyors: Includes both infeed and outfeed conveyors for seamless material handling during seeding.
  • Irrigation Module: Ensures proper hydration immediately post-seeding.

3. Automated Harvesting System

  • Band Saw Cutter: Precision cutting with a 600 mm harvesting width.
  • High Capacity: Can process up to 2400 trays/hour, suitable for large-scale operations.
  • Total System Length: +/- 4000mm for complete automated handling from tray loading to harvested product output.

4. Product Conveyors

  • Crate Loop Conveyor: Efficient handling of up to 200 crates per hour, moving harvested produce through various stages.

5. Washing and Cleaning System

  • CO2 Sensors: Ensures optimal CO2 levels for crop growth.
  • Water Sensors: Four sensors per cell to monitor and maintain consistent water supply.
  • Electrical Energy Sensors: Twelve sensors (6 per cell) for monitoring energy consumption and optimizing efficiency.
  • Cold Energy Sensors: Four sensors (2 per cell) to control and maintain ideal cooling conditions.
